My way of teaching

I have been a yoga practitioner for thirty years and teaching yoga since 2002. My love of yoga and my belief in this system of mind /body interconnectedness has led me to teach this wonderful practice.
I am a senior teacher at the Salt Spring Centre of Yoga where I help to teach future yoga teachers. I teach at three studios on Salt Spring Island as well as teaching 5 retreats a year. I received my training in Hatha and Classical Ashtanga Yoga at The Salt Spring Centre of Yoga. Trained in all aspects of yoga philosophy, science and spirituality under the personal guidance of Baba Hari Dass.

My teaching style includes sustained poses as well as postures that are connected together in a mindful and fluid progression with attention to alignment and breath. I modify poses for individual needs. At my retreats I teach pranayama (breathwork) and meditation and asana (poses).

To class I bring compassion and my deep love of yoga.
